Primary Childrens Telethon

This weekend Primary Children's is having a telethon- For anyone interested tune in to KSL channel 5. We will be on Sunday sometime between noon and one-

Graham only has two days left of chemo for this round...and it was uneventful! Graham does have some spots that they thought might be chicken pox...turned out they werent-Yesterday they had to do 2 biopsies on the spots on his leg and we are still waiting on results from the other 3 tests. It's interesting that in the beginning I was so worried about all of the throwing up...don't get me wrong it's still awful and I feel so bad for Graham, but I'm grateful that we have just dealt with that and not the scary high fevers and mystery infections? It's funny how you just get use to it all...kind of sad too.

Change in plans...

Yesterday after the docs pow-wowed they decided to start Graham going on chemo. They feel that if we wait for his counts to recover it will also give the cancer a chance to recover and we DO NOT want that to happen. So we started back up yesterday around 4. He has already begun the throwing up and is really nauseated, but I'm a little more prepared for it. I don't think he necessarily is, but he continues to be such a trooper. So if things go as planned (cross your fingers) he should be done this next Monday with chemo. Then we have count recovery for another 20 days or so. Maybe we will get lucky and be home for the 4th of July...my most favorite holiday(well it is tied with Christmas)!! There is just something so great about warm weather, fireworks, BBQ's....it always feels like this is the kick-off to summer:-) sorry I just got a little side tracked. Anyways I'm glad to have finally started back up with chemo...praying, praying, praying for a good and uneventful round!!

Waiting, waiting.....and more waiting

We were suppose to start chemo back up today but STILL Grahams counts aren't high enough. Today they are back at zero- they are suppose to be at 1000 to start and last round of chemo it took a while for them to get back up there. So we just continue to wait and hope that we can get the ball rolling sooner than later. I LOVE that Graham is happy and doing good, but it just feels like we are prolonging the inevitable. So.....hopefully in the next few days.
Sawyer is now able to come up and see Graham because the RSV ban has been lifted. He doesn't last too long in the room....it's really not that fun being told that u can't touch all of the fun equipment. We are all doing pretty good and just continue to be optimistic and hopeful that things will turn out "our way". It will be nice to get this round underway and then behind us....2 rounds down sounds so good at this point. I have nothing interesting to say tonight.....just wanted to keep everyone updated. Happy Memorial Day!!!
