Round 2 goes to Graham!!! We were finally moved back up to ICS yesterday and Graham is doing so much better! He is like a new baby:-) After weeks of enduring throwing up, horrible mouth sores, achy body, swollen tummy/liver blood clot, etc...He finally made it through. During the last few weeks he has had a few x-rays, a few ultrasounds, a belly tap(when they drained fluid from his tummy) and a lot of morphine. When Graham gets sick like he has been.....it makes all the days become a blur and they all run together. Most of the time I don't know what day of the week it is or the date- then when things slow down I all of the sudden realize how much time has gone by...crazy! So now we are still waiting for his counts to come up. The doc said that because of the horrible mouth sores he had...when he does start to produce any white blood cells they will go directly to his mouth to start healing it. Everyday they draw blood cultures to see what his counts are. In his case they aren't showing up in the blood because they are all at the "site" that needs "help". So things are healing!! They are going to re-ultrasound his tummy in the next week sometime to see how the clot is doing and if it is going away at all...I sure hope!
Since Graham has been doing good I decided to leave him with Grandma Jorja and take Sawyer to swim lessons. It was such a nice break!!!! I got my 1st burn of the summer and I'm loving
It:-) Sawyer is doing so good in swim lessons and I think he has a crush on a little girl in his class:-) we stayed and swam afterwards and I couldn't help but be a little sad when I would see other little babies around Grahams age. For some reason today I just thought, "it isn't fair". My little Graham should be here too...not in a hospital all hooked up to meds and IV Food receiving continuous doses of morphine. I just thought about how much fun he would have in the water....poor little guy can't even take a bath- only sponge baths for the last couple of months. But...when I got up to the hospital my mom and sister Ashli were here and they were so happy. They told me what a great day Graham had and how they had him laughing so hard:-) They played with all of his toys and he had so much fun just rolling around in his crib. It made me so happy to hear that he had a good day. And I know that Sawyer had a good day...therefore, I am a happy mom today :-)

Happy Father's Day!
Today I am so grateful for the amazing dad that I have....and also for the amazing dad that Graham and Sawyer have!! It's interesting how much you still rely on your parents even when you become a parent yourself. There is something about a dad that just makes you feel safe :-) I can't begin to tell my dad how much I love him and how lucky/blessed I feel to have him as my dad! Growing up he loved to have fun as a family...There wasn't an activity that he did that didn't include all of us- He taught us how to snow ski and water ski among many other things and is the most patient person I have ever met...honestly :-) Happy Fathers Day Dad!!!
Nathan has many great qualities, but I have to say that probably the thing he is best at is being a dad....and I really mean that. He and Sawyer are currently attending "mommy and me" swimming lessons. My mom packs them a lunch and after swim lessons they eat their "picnic" and then swim some more. Sawyer absolutely LOVES his dad! They are both very high energy and love to have fun....two peas in a pod :-) Sawyer wants to do everything Nathan does...he loves dads tools and helping him work. Nathan makes him feel so special and there is never a question of Nathan's excitement to see or be with Sawyer. Graham loves his dad too! I know that Nathan is so proud of both of our little guys and what little troupers they have both been in adjusting to our "new" life. Happy Fathers Day Nathan!!!
Most importantly I'm grateful for my Heavenly Father that I pray to every night. He is the one that hears my prayers whenever and wherever. The one that answers in the middle of the night when I don't know what more to do. The one who's Fatherly love is more than any dad in the universe could comprehend. So grateful to know that he is always listening...even when I don't realize I'm asking :-)
